About Jim
In early 1970 the lure of Wyoming’s outdoors led Jim to leave college and head to Jackson Hole. Except for brief stays in Idaho & Alaska during the early 70’s Jim has been a Wyoming resident ever since. Jim has been an avid hunter since he arrived in Wyoming.
At first Jim worked as a carpenter for other general contractors in Jackson Hole. In 1986 he began his small construction company, Roscoe Co.
Jim Roscoe married Jane Baldwin in 1982. Their first son, Will, was born in 1984 and their second son, Wyatt, was born in 1988. Both boys attended public school throughout their K-12 years and got a great education.
Jim bought property in Wilson, Wyoming in the early 70’s. There he built his original cabin out of stone. In 1983 with a child on the way, Jim and Jane added on to that stone cabin.
In the autumn of 1992 Jim looked at a 280 acre ranch that was for sale in southeast Sublette County, in the Big Sandy area. Jim and Jane bought that remote and quiet ranch in May of 1993, igniting a passion in
Since 1993 Jim and his family have often spent summers on the ranch and both of his son’s have hayed for local ranchers. As a result of living in and owning land amidst some of Sublette County’s finest ranchers, Jim has learned about and gained an appreciation for Wyoming ranchers.
Jim has represented the people of House District 22 in a thoughtful and responsive way and hopes to continue to do so in his second term, if re-eleceted.
